Improve your focus to boost your business

Whether it’s missing a transaction deadline or not getting an offer in on time, a lack of focus can be costly in real estate. But through simple strategies and exercises, you can clear distractions from your mind and focus on your top priorities.

Organize your schedule around when you focus best
If you know you’re most productive between 8 and 9 a.m. or 6 to 7 p.m., plan to handle your highest priority tasks in those time frames. Fill your less productive periods with tasks that won’t suffer as much from interruptions and distractions.

Manage the factors of focus
Your focus can be altered by things like how much sleep or coffee you’ve had, but it can also be impacted by your frame of mind and emotional state. Poor interactions, bad phone calls, or a stressful meeting can all distract your focus. Before transitioning into a high priority task, take time to refocus yourself by resolving negative thoughts and replacing them with positive ones.
